A birth doula provides physical, emotional, and educational support to women during pregnancy, labor, and birth. This type of support is associated with many benefits, including fewer interventions in labor, increased maternal satisfaction, and improved breastfeeding rates. The doula’s role is uniquely different from the roles of loved ones, partners, and medical staff. Their coaching is focused on physical comfort measures and ways to enhance labor progress. It also includes extensive discussion of the emotional shifts that laboring women experience throughout the birthing process and how to better attune themselves to the changing moods and movements and reduce stress and fear.

Alyssa has been a licensed massage therapist for 10 years, trained in prenatal, perinatal, postpartum, and infant massage. She is passionate about healing others through touch. Her goal as a certified Doula is to help mothers feel safe and comfortable throughout their pregnancy and birth experience. A mother of two boys and well traveled due to her husband's former army career, she brings a wealth of life experiences to the table, as well as a dedication to helping others.

Tasha Sibley has over 23 years of experience as a massage therapist, including extensive work with prenatal, perinatal, postpartum, and infant massage. Her holistic approach incorporates hypnosis and reiki techniques with bodywork and coaching to help guide mothers-to-be and their families through to the best possible pregnancy and birth experience.

Meet Our Doula Tasha Sibley
Tasha and Alyssa have known each other and worked together for close to five years. They completed ICEA doula training as part of the Mary’s Hands Network inaugural class and volunteered through the same organization. Toula Doula was created and born out of their shared passion for the well-being of all those who are bringing new life into this world.
Bringing Comfort to You
Toula Doula is based in Hammond, Louisiana, serving the Northshore area and other locations by request. We are able to travel to various birthing venues from hospitals to home births, as well as for home consultations. Travel fees may apply if outside our working radius of 45 miles.

Birth Education
Starting at $25/hr
During these sessions we will create/ go over your birth plan, help you connect with the resources specific to your needs, and much more. These sessions are designed to help you navigate your pregnancy as smoothly as possible. Since that journey is only beginning when your little one arrives, these sessions can be invaluable to help with new questions and concerns post birth.
Full Labor Support
$1050 w/backup Doula
$850 w/out backup Doula
Full birth support includes the creation of your birth plan, two prenatal visits and one postpartum. These visits can be virtual or in person. We are here to support your full labor experience whether you have a natural birth or c-section or deliver at home or in the hospital. And we are here for the duration of your labor.
Postpartum Support
Starting at $25/hr
2 hr minimum
The journey doesn’t end when your baby arrives, the adventure continues. You may have lots of questions and concerns for yourself as well as your baby. Through postpartum support appointments, we can help address questions as they arise and connect you with additional resources for your baby’s development and your family’s well being.
Postpartum Night Nurse
Starting at $30/hr
4 hr minimum
A good night’s rest is invaluable as you settle into new family routines, and we are here to support that transition. One of our experienced doulas will attend to all of your newborn’s needs (feedings, changing, etc) while you sleep! (Please note that this service is for our local clients only.)
Prenatal/Postpartum Massage
$125/ 60 minutes
$200/ 90 minutes
$250/ 120 minutes
(not including travel time)
Mothers-to-be go through many dramatic changes throughout pregnancy.These changes are not just physical but mental, emotional and spiritual as well. Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork customized to each mother’s needs to aid and support during all these transitions. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.
